Media Master and Windows Media Player 12

Postby jcbklyny » Fri Jan 23, 2009 2:54 am

I know Windows 7 and Media Player 12 aren't out yet but I just thought you guys should be aware that Media Master is not compatible with Media Player 12.

Install fails when Media Master can't detect or access Windows Media Player directory.

sorry: Vista64bit

I know it's not a recommended OS, so i'm not too worried.
Have had excellent results with GVJ on this system though.

That what I guessed :)

For your info, an installer that supports VISTA 64 (and probably Windows 7) will be soon available. I will get you in touch when it will be available.

It detects and uses flawlessly WMP 11 (and obviously QuickTime, Flash and DirectShow). It would also work with versions 12 and 14 ;)

Thank you for your feed-back!

Ok, we need to check it on Windows 7 (not yet tested).

Totally understandable, it's still pretty far from launch, I was just testing and thought I'd let you know is all.

Thanks

Ok, the new installer will install also in Windows 7 32 bits : it detects WMP 12. Cannot go further because I tested in a virtual machine, so MM doesn't start (no graphical acceleration).

I will try the 64 bits version, but I don't have a 64 bit OS, this will be difficult. But I guess it will work.

So stay stunned until we release it officially; it's a question of days (test it and upload it on the website) ;)

Wow, that was fast. I'm using the 32-bit version of Windows 7, haven't gotten around to testing 64-bit yet. So this is great news for me.

Thanks! I'll install and test as soon as it's released.
