Work out the native resolution of the LED screen. Depending on dot pitch and wall size, this may be quite low-res.
Set rendered output(s) to closest available resolution to LED native (or a multiple of, if screen is very low-res). Goal is to achieve video pixel for LED pixel- you should be able to turn single led pixel groups on and off without affecting adjacent pixel groups.
Remove unnecessary processing (scalers etc). Use internal geometric correction and LED controllers' software to achieve virtual (empty space) and offset panels.
This will achieve the "cleanest" image on most LED screens.
Custom images can be made at native or double-native resolution, if you want to keep sharp edges on graphics for example.
