Can Arkaos handle digital IMAX 4k footage (4096x2160)? What is the max resolution it can work with?

Thanks all,

Jim

Hi Jim,

This is no problem at all, there are no resolution limitations in MediaMaster (and in GrandVJ).
Thus it all depends on how powerful your system is.

The video encoding happens on the CPU, so a powerful cpu is advised.
Off course each video frame (while playing) is uploaded to your graphics card. Thus a descent graphics card is also advised. Normally such a resolution (4096x2160) will be no problem for the graphics card (all graphics cards in these days have a maximum of/or more than 4096x4096) (It also depends on which output resolution you choose, if your output resolution is only 800x600, than the footage will be resized to that smaller output resolution).

The best way to find out if it MediaMaster can handle it in the way you want it is to download the free demo at http://www.arkaos.net.

If you have more questions, the best thing you can do is to send an email to support@arkaos.net.
