Is it possible to change CITP output resolution

Postby nick c » Sat Jun 21, 2014 6:33 pm

Is Arkaos limited to 144 x 144 pixel output resolution for the CITP stream?

In other words if I wanted Arkaos to output a 400 x 400 pixel CITP resolution, is it possible?

Thanks

Is this for pre-viz usage? (WYSIWYG/MSD/etc).
From memory CITP protocol does have a current maximum of 144x144px video stream.
I've had good results from capture cards, or by doing a mock-up screen using LED pixel mapping- eats up a lot of DMX universes though.

Hi Phased

I was asking because I was beta testing the WYSIWYG R33 release at the time and it says that it can handle higher CITP resolutions (max 400 x 400) and different aspect ratio's.

There is so little information about CITP and who is implementing it and to what degree. I just want to be able to stream at a higher resolution than 144 x 144 from Arkaos into WYSIWYG.

Cheers

Update on this thread;

re: CITP/MSEX video stream resolutions

An update here - MA lighting suggested to me during ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt this year to send fragmented StFr messages, as a solution to two problems:
Being able to send stream frames larger than 65K
Being able to send a several smaller (than 65K) frame fragments for traffic shaping

I think this should go straight into the spec, there is only one thing to decide and that it whether it's an addendum to MSEX 1.1 and/or 1.2, or as part of a new 1.3. MA lighting are in favour of version 1.3. Opinions?
